Enabling Enterprise day
On Monday the 4th February all the students participated in a Enabling Enterprise Challenge Day! The day involved the students looking at future environments, researching existing transports and creating a new mode of transport. Each class was divided into teams of 3- 4 and in these teams the students designed and made a prototype for their transport.
The students had the opportunity to develop many skills including: working in a team, sharing their own ideas and listening to others. It was a great day and a lovely event for the students to showcase their creativity and presenting skills.
Representatives from Enabling Enterprise were impressed by the enthusiasm and excitement the students displayed completing the challenge day!
Farley @ Luton Carnival
After lots of practise the 'Farley Pan Players' performed two pieces of music brilliantly on the community stage on Sunday at the Luton Carnival. Children from years 3 and 4 took part in the parade and were judged on their dances moves. We would like to thank the parents that joined us on our walk. It was a great day and fun was had by all.

Farley on the News
During Fridays final preparations for the carnival, we had a visit from both BBC news and ITV news. who filmed our Pan Players and Carnival Dancers doing their final run through and making their final parts for their costumes before their performance on Sunday. they even interviewed some of the children playing the pans. They all done the school proud!
World Book Day 2018
Farley celebrated 'World Book Day' in style. Many of our pupils and staff dressed up as characters from their favourite story book. All classes studied an exciting lesson focused on "The Angels of Nitshill Road.' To improve standards in reading, all of our students have been developing their inferential skills. During assembly, staff and pupils were tested on their knowledge of children's books in our 'Big Quiz' assembly. At Farley, we aim to become a book loving school and judging by the level of enthusiasm for reading on 'World Book Day' we are well on our way!
