Community Sports

Farley Boys Football Club has now been running for 3 years with the support of Farley Junior School. The team has achieved great success over the years with the team now being managed by parents and families of pupils who attend Farley Junior School.

Despite the name, the football team welcomes both boys and girls into the team and play in a competitive Saturday league. The team are still looking to add players to their already strong squad, so if you are interested the please read the information below.

Farley Boys FC

Don’t be fooled by the name, Farley Boys is a football team for both boys and girls, available to years 5 and 6. We are an under 11’s team, and play 9 a side. For more information, please look below.

Our training is at Chaul End Community Centre (Opposite the retail park that contains Curry’s PC world.) at 6:00-7:00 on Tuesdays. Here we normally do drills and team development, and finish by playing a match between the players there for the last 10-15 minutes.

We have matches almost every Saturday with the kick-offs ranging between 9:30 and 10:30. The halves last 30 minutes each, with a 10-minute interval at half time.

There is a small fee of £30. The fee goes towards a flood-lit venue for training sessions, extra kits, referees, match-day pitches, tournament entries and courses for our staff. As a bonus, for £30 you get your very own Farley Boys football kit, entries to tournaments, training every week, a medal for participation at the end of the season (along with any trophies that are up for grabs) and matchday experience every Saturday.

Any boys or girls who are interested in joining the team please come and find me throughout the school.

Alternatively, you can text the manager – Alan on 07780558528.

Thank you for taking your time to read this, I hope to hear from you soon.
